Displaced hair (G2F) - can't be moved to fit. ??

Playing around with C8.5 and the "smart content" tab (not that it should make any difference).

Load in Charlize figure (G2F). Double click on Charlize Hair. There's a "fit to" menu in the hair's General tab, so I fit to G2F.

And lo, the hair magically displaces above the figures head. Movement is completely locked; I can't shift it in any way, using either the mouse controls or going to the motion tab.

Fitting back to "None" allows me to move it just fine, but now, of course, the proportions are all screwed up: it doesn't fit the head any more.

So: is there any way to "unlock" this after fitting to G2F to allow me to put the hair on the head where it belongs? Or is this a bug in the figure? Or in C8.5?

Try loading it and then dismiss autofit.
Adjust the hair manually in the parameters tab
When done, parent it to the head.
That's how I handle stubborn hair :)
