auto fit not working since upgrading to daz 4.6

auto fit not working since upgrading to 4.6, just say's unsupported item now, always use to work in my older daz studio. no m4 v4 or other figures show up anymore. whats going on my content data base is runnig checked that any help welcome...>:(

    Sometimes rebooting the computer helps.

    Make sure the Content Management System is working, and talking to DAZ Studio. Do you have any folders in the Content Library pane under Categories or Products?

    tried that. been trying to get it to work for the last few days.

    have items in both content and product, but does not show any of my old content like v4 and m4, only new stuff like genesis 2 and recent products, tried removing daz and down loading it again, still no luck with auto fit
    .

    Uninstalling DS and reinstalling won't restore the CMS. If some items have gone missing (I'm not sure that the V4 and M4 stuff have metadata) you may need to reimport the metadata - but wait until others have had a chance to suggest other possibilities first.

    auto fit working if i use genesis 1 only, all options show up when using genesis 1, but not went i use genesis 2 is their a reason for this.

    Autofit relies on having a 'clone' for each of the other clothing types (V4, M4, V3, M3 etc etc) When I select Genesis 2, and try to load a piece of V4 clothing, the only options I get are 'Unsupported' and 'Genesis'.

    In order to have the option to use V4 clothing on Genesis 2, you would need the following item : http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female.

    There are 'Shapes' for Genesis in the store, so that Generation 4 and even Generation 3 clothing can be used with the original Genesis, and they also provide a clone for Autofit.

    I have several of the clone shapes for Genesis.

    I loaded pants for V4 onto Genesis using Autofit. I saved them as a Wearable Preset from the Save As menu, then used Autofit to fit them to Genesis 2 using the 'Genesis' clone which is supplied with it. It worked well.

    Autofit does not always work perfectly, depending on the clothing item, shoes sometimes do not work well for example. It is a bit of work, but it can be donw.

    cant autofit any V4 clothes to V4 anymore

    to which figure?

    Not sure but I'd think the clones would be part of the content installations, not the program's.

    V4 for V4
    I get an autofit message "not supported"
    V4 is not in the list

    It's not clear what you mean here?

    Autofit is not used to fit V4 clothing to V4. Are you trying to use V4 clothing on Genesis, with a V4 shape or something like that? What is the Base figure that you have selected when you are trying to load V4 clothing?

    when I put V4 garment on V4 the autofit pops up asking for whom to autofit this garment
    giving the only option "unsupported"

    Autofit only appears, when you are trying to load a clothing item to a figure for which it was not intended.

    If you are loading a V4 clothing item to V4, Autofit will never appear, it is not required. If you are trying to load a V4 item onto Genesis, for example, Autodit will ask you 'What figure was the item originally designed for?', then you use the drop down list, and in this case, you would select V4.

    What clothing item EXACTLY are you trying to load onto V4, and is it the Base V4 from the content library, or a morph or saved scene. I cannot understand why you are seeing Autofit, either the clothing was not made for V4, or you are not loading the clothing onto a V4 figure.

    Is that a basic V4? Where did you load V4 from? Can you show me V4 in the Scene pane please.

    I can't understand why Autofit would appear, but you can simply close it, and the item looks like it is already fitted. Are you sure that the Base figure is V4, and not just a V4 shape for genesis or some other figure?
