What graphics card do you have?

    Update the drivers.

Turn the OpenGL settings all the way down in the Preferences.

W7 is not the problem. Your graphics card may be.

I'm also having an issue with this. It crashes the moment I try to load the program. Beyond telling me that it has crashed there is no information as to the cause.

    I'm on Win 7 x64
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6450

I've tried uninstalling, re-installing, re-downloading... Running in various compatibility modes. Same thing, every single time. Crashes as soon as the logo pops up at start-up.

    hi
many thanks for the responses and the advices with it

this is my graphic card :
AMD RADEON chipset HD 4870 X2
    the driver : 8-911-111025a-128243C-ATI
    catalyst version 11.11

so ... the post from Kestryll show me that radeon card could be a problem, then perhaps other people
answer me, and tell me that all is Ok with W7 have another style of card?
you must to know that I've baught the PC from occasion from a gamer and not from a 3D maker man

perhaps a gamer card is not good for 3D making....

by the way the post from Ascania could give me the solution
please could you tell me more what you mean before i'll install the programme again?

just to say that I use Carrara since 5 years in my job, and I've done some short movies for advertising
in caps injection business (for bottles)
but I've decided recently to do some personal project, and discuss about friendly
If I can help someone .... it'll be with pleasure

    bye bye

courage Kestryll and keep me in touch if you progress
