No, it wasn't. I'm very sure of it. Previously I had my Scene tab very narrow, and a lot of names were cropped, especially on longer expanded hierarchies, but the slider didn't jump to right.

I'll reinstall previous versions to be completely sure, give me a moment, but currently jumping feels like a unnecessary break in workflow.

It does the same thing and it has not changed. It is not something that could change by accident.
I'll check again, maybe I'm missing something.

I've been having similar problems in the Parameters tab. Half the time I can't read what the parameters say as it displays the last part of the name initially. Then I have to roll over right to left to get the first part of the parameter name to show. Pain.

Not sure if this is related to this release, but UberEnvironment has disappeared on me and it has only happened since this update. Anyone else find this?

Edit: Ok, so it is still there, but isn't showing up in the content library. I loaded a preset that uses UberEnv2 and was able to adjust settings and render just fine.

Anyone know how to get lost content showing up in content library? Tried reimporting meta data, but that didn't make it show up in smart content.

Edit 2: no uber area too :(

I don't know if this applies either to your lost content or to metadata, but in the Content Library tab, if you click on the menu icon and select "Scan known directories for files", uncheck "Only New Items", and anything you accidentally deleted from the content library will be re-added as uncategorized content.

The Default Lights and Shaders have been removed from the Genesis Essentials File and are now a file on there own. I think maybe you have only a MetaData issue fixable with the Content DB Maintenance try Process Metadata Queue. If that fails check Dim for the Default Lights and Shaders for DAZ Studio file, that should update the metadata as well.

Doh, silly me. That's what I get for not reading the whole OP properly. Found the new package - downloading now. Thanks Jaderail ;) Thanks to Sean too for assuming I wasn't an idiot not reading the first post lol

Genesis 2 base female loads with base mesh resolution after update. Anyone else? Barefoot dancer loads with high resolution and so does G2M.

Yes, the base G2F .duf file has the wrong (presumably) setting, other presets don't. If you load G2F, set the resolution, and save as a character preset that will give you a smoothed version until the packages are updated.

The Newest G2F update has fixed that issue. It now loads properly on my and another's PC's. Be sure to install the latest G2F file.

Serious render crash...seems to be shader related (yes I installed the separate lights and shaders default file).

I loaded Michael 6 hit render and that was it.

An error came up. Busy pointer kept rolling. I could do things like look at the log, clear scene, try something else. But hitting render said a render was already in progress.

I think I fixed the problem (on my end) that caused the crash. I had a couple versions of Studio 3 Content libraries in my Content directory list. Even though My Library was listed first there may have been something in one of those old content libraries that messed things up if a current file was in the 'wrong' place and Studio 4.5 looked elsewhere for it. I renamed the old shader directories with Explorer then loaded up Studio and Michael 6, and hit render. No crash.

Is it really too much to ask to have PowerPose updated to support your base products?

    Really?

Guess so....since it hasn't been update since V4!

    'Suppose it was too much....

Relying on others to fix/update or provide something seriously lacking has become more and more the standard around here.

Kind of like that manual. (we saw a "hint" but its still vapor-ware.)

    Too much?

    Thought so.

I would like to thank everyone involved in this new release of DAZ Studio Pro 4.6.1.33, it is simply awesome.

The new version of DIM also appears to behave itself......LOL

Although I have been a very vocal critic of DS and DIM combination with CMS in the past, I have to say the new versions of both work really, really well.

Don't know what possessed me to try DIM one more time but I did and I'm very glad I did.

DIM installed the new DAZ Studio, all content updates and new purchases without a hitch, as well as the Public Beta version.

Well done DAZ team, keep up the good work.

BTW, quite like the "new" manual too. http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/start

My only question is: Why is DIM only 32bit (for Mac)? Just asking, not complaining.

Because it is not a program that needs to be 64 bit.

    Hmmm....interesting response.

I've been in computing since 1988 and professional computer graphics since 1992 and I have never heard it explained quite as simply as that.

Pretty much everything I use is 64 bit these days, especially on OS X. But I guess Windows users still have a use and need for 32 bit apps.

    Maybe it should be.

I only got the September upgrade of 4.6 downloaded this month and haven't even installed that yet. To have a new one in Nov. is good in so far as I will never have to install the September release. But the pace of these upgrades coming out makes me dizzy. Worst of all, my understanding is that each time an upgrade comes out for DazStudio, a total uninstall, reinstall is called for. Doing this with major programs is always intimidating. I want to bear down and learn the program, not go through frequent and disruptive upgrade procedures. I of course want problems fixed, but why doesn't Daz3D use targeted upgrade files to fix or patch problems? Many programs allow that, most famously the MS operating system.

The only virtue of 64 bit apps is that they can handle more data. DIM doesn't need to handle much data in a block, so it doesn't need to be 64 bit.

I updated today to the general new release , and everything works smooth but each time I click my Intous wacom pen the cursor vanishing and need to restart DS after to get it back for another 5 sec until I click something , I don't use mouse so it is pretty annoying
I don;t have this issue before , it started after today DS update to the last build , any ideas ?

DIM should not be the only option for installing software. I downloaded 4.6.1.33, I go to read to install and it shows me the only option is the public beta, I go installed it tells me DS 4.6 is installed, but it wont tell me what version, I open Studio and it shows me I'm running 4.6.1.17 so where do I go to install DS 4.6.1.33 without the setbacks DIM is causing me? And when I try to uninstall DS4.6 64 bit it's stalled at 0% and when I hit the info it tells me cause it "Could not find local ReadMe for :DAZ Studio 4.6 (Win 64 -bit)"

I fixed the problem by changing the sensitivity of pen to higher and so far it works !

I'm still having problems with parenting things.
Parent an item to a hand or head and then preset poses only half work , this has been going on for several version now I really wish you would fix it.
