Creating Hair Textures

I'm trying to create a hair texture for SAV's Electra Hair because it doesn't have what I'm looking for. Plus I like the idea of customizing what I can. Sadly I can't find anything that will help me with just making them. Help?

Hi, you could refer to this thread, it's about creating skin texture, but should be the same workflow with hair texture as long as you have the UV maps.
