How come DS 4.6 does not install to program files?

I downloaded DS4.6 pro this morning and I cannot find it anywhere in my start menu even though the content manager tells me that it is installed. So how can I run it if I cannot even find it?

Can somebody tell me where it launches from? How come the content manager does not put icons on my desktop to launch it with?

A very important detail is how you installed it?

Did you start by installing the install manager and then used that tool to get Daz Studio, or did you grab a separate installer?

Also; what does Windows tell you when you go over the list of installed programs?

Yes I did use the install manager and installed DS4.6 pro in that application. There is no DS4.6 in my installed programs anywhere.

I FOUND IT FINALLY!!! It was installed to the Download Manager folder under shared documents. So now I cannot find an uninstaller for it so I can put it where I want it. I have searched under the control panel add and remove programs and it is not there. So I appear to be hosed as far as uninstalling it from the Content Manager folder so I can install it to Program Files.

Why does it not install to Program Files where every other program gets installed to?

It should. C:\Program Files is the default location for executable contents which you install through the install manager. That is; when talking about the 32bit software. It is possible that this differs on 64 bit. Especially if you happen to download & install 32bit software on a 64bit environment.

Alas; after you started the install manager (logging on is optional) you'll find a "cog icon" in the upper right corner. Click it. Now you'll get a new window which has 4 tabs: "Accounts, Downloads, Installation and Applications".

Click on Installation. Here you can set the default location for installed contents. As said, on my end it was set to "c:\program files" at first, I quickly changed this to use drive D.

But after that it should work as you expect. Daz Studio uses a regular installer which will also create a start menu entry and such.

I've attached some screenshots to show you what I mean.

Uninstall it with DIM, then make sure the Applications tab has the correct settings for installing 32-bit and 64-bit applications.

Your DIM Applications should POINT to your install paths like this...

I had to manually update the DIM. I had the old version. The new version has the correct install path for DS 4 Pro. Thanks everyone.
