Categorize items bought on other sites

I want to categorize products bought on other sites such as this zombie "Nibbler".

In the content library I found it, selected all items and then I clicked on "Categorize".

Anyway, it does not appear in the "Smart Content". Am I missing something?

Categorizing just puts it in a category (either one you created yourself or one of the default ones). To appear in Smart Content it needs full metadata, indicating what type of item each file is and what it's compatible with,

Watch the first video listed in this post: Free Video Tutorials DAZ Studio

This will show you how to set up metadata on products that do not contain any.

Don't thank me yet, lol. Wait until you see if it made sense. I tried to be very explicit and even over-explain so that even the newest newbie can get it, but I haven't received much feedback on the video, so I don't know how well it works.

Okay! I am downloading that video.

PS: All those metadata that I create will be saved within my user-database?

Yes, they will. When you are finished, it would not hurt to Export User Data at least once a week or so. This way, if you have to uninstall, or if updates come in for the product, the metadata you created will still be there.

I have been adding content from other stores for awhile now and I have a lot of items done. I was hoping to find if anyone else is doing this and maybe exchange some metadata. I know everyone categorizes their own way, but if the general guidelines are being used, I would think it would be a lot quicker.
