Cookie's eyes and Point At in DS

Anyone have problems with Cookie's eyes, using the point at modifier in DS 4.6 (0.18)?

If I load Cookie, and use it, the eyes just go wonky, when following whatever I got em pointing at?

Maybe this is a known issue/limitation, I just can't find anything about it?

EDIT: If I move the object behind her head, the eyes track properly (though reverse) as if it was in front. It's almost like the Point At modifier is backwards on her?

What are you pointing Cookie's eyes at? A prop, a null, or a hidden primitive? Cookie is an older figure, rigged and coded for Poser. It is compatible with DS but there are some variances between Poser 6 and the current version of DS. When using point at for eyes in Poser, it is often easier to use a hidden primitive like a sphere. Pointing the eyes at a camera always seemed to cause problems.

When you say wonky, what exactly are the eyes doing? I don't have my Gumdrops runtime loaded so I can't look at it at the moment. Check to see if Cookie has an eye control prop. Some figures already have their eyes pointing a hidden primitive. I can't remember if Cookie is one of those that comes with eye control.

    I don't see anything.

I just tried her in Carrara, but her eyes flattened out. I had to modify the magnet settings on her eyes to be +/- 9. Seems its not an uncommon issue, based on this back in 2010: LINK Even then, in Carrara, the Point At modifier was running in reverse. (right was left, and up was down)

It's not critical, it just makes it "much" easier to pose eyes using a hidden sphere or prop.

Point at is entirely dependent on the eyes having been rigged "properly", sadly there is many a Poser figure with wonky eyes, even theirs *points at DAZ*.

The attached pic shows Aiko 3 and Victoria 4.2, A3's eye bones point to the side of her head, while V4's correctly point directly out of the eyeballs and the front of the head.

You shouldn't forget that Cookie' or Chip's eyes have two different parts. One is the eye itself, the other part is the refection. if you point your an eye in a direction and don't point the reflect in the same direction, it could have the effect, that nothing happens or the character looks strange.

I was able to fix this. I have a "how-to" if anyone needs it. The How-to I have uses Poser. The fix was described/given to me by LittleFox. It's quite easy.
