Toon Mouth & Teeth

One thing that does not work with toon characters is normal teeth.

A cartoon characters mouth & teeth should morph into the weirdest shapes & sizes.

As in if the mouth morphs into a weird shape the teeth should morph automaticly to match.

Otherwise it takes you out of the moment.

I hope that made sence?

There used to be a set of toon-teeth here (made for Mil-4 generation but useable with any figure (or independently)) - seems it's no longer in the store.

Don't think it curved up with an exaggerated smile though - good idea, but maybe a lot of work...

The DAZ Originals G8 head morphs have teeth adjustments you can push those a bit but for something extreme the teeth need to be designed around the character for each character. That'sa one of the things that make DAZ characters look same-samey...

A toon or cartoon charicter is a caricature but the teeth are real world, that just doesnt work.

Yes I think something like this will be hard but none of the toon characters realy work without this.

I've seen plenty of harder things here other than mere teeth.

  • Has anyone found a good solution for this, or replacement for the toon teeth tray style cartoon teeth that is no longer available?

  • a non fancy solution.

    1) hide everything in the scene but the teeth

    2) create a cylinder shape

    3) tweek size and position so it can be place over the original charater teeth.

    4) color the surface the same white as the eyes

    5) parent the cylinder shape to the upper teeth node.

    voila.

it work for me. sometime the simples method is the best one.

With Genesis 9 having seperate teeth/anatomy maybe someone will re-examine this?
