How to apply the Dynamic Hair Multiple Shader Domains.

The 9 hair shaders are Multiple Shading Domains shaders and to apply them to the dynamic hair. First select the Dynamic Hair and in the shader tab drag and drop the shader on top of the "Multiple Shading Domains" sphere.

    Ack!
Had it already in my cart as I was casually browsing the forum and notice that this one is for Carrara only :(
It looks great, any chances this coming out for Studio?

    DS doesn't have dynamic hair.

I know, but the hair could still be plopped on a figure :)

NO. Dynamic hair only works in the program it is built for. Poser hair room is the same, you can't export it out to use in a different program.

it is not an actual mesh, it is a program specific product.
What you CAN do is apply a shadowcatch shader to your identically posed in carrara imported Daz studio Genesis 2 figure and render with an alpha channel and add it as a layer to your Das studio render.
or put your studio render in the carrara backdrop lining them up.
or put a Daz studio animation in the carrara backdrop as an image series or avi and have your carrara shadowcatch figure use the same imported animation and line up the camera angle etc.

The beauty of Carrara's dynamic hair is how it interacts with lights.
Create a nice dramatic high light effect by placing a light source behind the character head.
If you wish you can set up the light source to only lite the dynamic hair.
Place your other light source(s) on the front or side of the character head.

Take a look at this image capture to see my light placement.
Also on your front and side lights you would want to set up raytrace soft shadows for best effect.
Hope you find this information useful.

    Happy Rendering everyone!!!!

If you don't care about animation the same result for a still image could be achieved with Garibaldi or LAMH in DAZ Studio. I don't have either so don't take this as an endorsement, just saying the option is there.
