Daz 4 Category View 'Hide Categories'?

Hello all,

I'm really trying to get to grips with DS4's Category View today, but keep butting my head against issues. Really want to sort it all out!

How do I simply hide unused categories like in DS3? It seems like a very basic function, but I can't find an option.

There is none, You can delete unused categories in DS4.5+ but not hide them. Note: When using Categories in DS4.5+ save the USER DATA from the Content DB Management menu often. That will allow you to recover a bad DATABASE easy and keep your Categories as well.

Thank you for your help. Do you have any idea why they decided not to implement it? And does it mean that I can delete any folder (after categorisation) from the Unassigned folder?

I'm not fully sure why but think it has to do with the CMS database and how it works. I have also stopped bothering with categories on my PC as I did a Full clean install of all content at once. When I used the OLD PC i could delete folders as I wished but that was in DS4.5 and not DS4.6. So I'm not able to help beyond what I have. I suggest you Check Adamr001's free stuff and read what he says about categories. I used it as my guide on my old PC.
