Soft/blurry raytraced shadows (again)

Hello all

Sorry - but I don't quite get it.

How can I achieve shadows that are blurry/very soft (like the shadow buffer's shadows) - with raytraced shadows?
Is it something about an extra light source to smooth out the shadows? How exactly is this done?

I hope you can help!

Select the light and go to the light effects tab top right. Click on "Shadow"-- "Enable soft shadows" You can play around with the size here.the bigger the number, the softer the shadow.
If you are using a distant light, the number usually has to be really large.Try a spotlight and make the number 1 foot and take it from there.
Though I think a it may depend on your scene size.I try to use real world sizes, so If i have a man in the scene he will be about 6 foot tall not 60 feet!

Thank you! It's a distant light, and the high values (light radius) did the trick.

For distant light I use 1000 gives very nice shadows.
