I know there are other topics with this subject matter, but they are getting confusing and going off on tangents.
My question is simple (I hope).
1 Have the Michael 4 Skins Auto Converter For Genesis 2 Male
2. Have the Michael 4 Genesis for Genesis Male.
3. I load MIchael 6, I change the uv's to M4.
4. At this point If I was sadistic, I could select each of the many m6 maps and replace them
individually with m4 maps.
But I generously invested in Michael 4 Skins Auto Converter For Genesis 2 Male
So.
What do I do now?
Please,I am hoping Michael 4 Skins Auto Converter For Genesis 2 Male does somethlng worthwhile.
Thank you

I don't have the M4 to G2M converter, but I do have the V4 to G2F converter and I assume they work similarly. So, at this point, you would navigate to the Script category in your content library, and double click on the New Surfaces for Old icon, found in the M4 Skins Auto Converter category. A dialog box will open and you have to navigate to the .png image which represents the Skin texture you want converted. There is even a Youtube video for the V4 script here:

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Question/opinon.(Assume all applies to V6 as well)
Once the m6 uv's on the figure are changed to M4 the then exisiting texture sets.
are misaligned as they would be.
In each of the then existing surfaces: head, body. etc there are maps that exisited
for the original m6 figure, if I take each one and navigate to a folder that hold the corresponding Runtime (Poser)
M4 maps and load them all is well. But takes enormous time, etc.

So I a gather that the "convertor" takes the same existing m4 maps and does what?

It basically sounds that I am converting a preexisting jpeg map (losing map detail)
And doing it on a map for map basis.
In theory am I not better doing it the manual way and saving the detail of the map.
In other words was the convertor a ripoff (sorry about the phrasing).
I have the feeling I just got hosed for 10 bucks.
Quality wise, I would be better before conversion.
If I sound bitter, not directed at you,
As someone else pointed out a 'read me" in the convertor would have been nice
    Many thanks

    ATTN Mari- Anne.
Think I found the problem, working, disregard large percentage of last reply.
    :-)

I think of maps as jpeg, it converts a pngl
Was comparing it to a texture convertor program from years ago.

Sorry I didn't see your last two posts earlier. Since I don't have M6 or the converter, I won't try to answer beyond adding the last step to your first post. I'm hoping you can figure out your situation in the other thread. Good Luck!

Thank you very much,,, your use of the phrase .png was the answer.
