character design

Hello,
i wonder how possible for me to create and design new character by using daz3d , i wish to create own characters and sell them in daz store, but i have no idea what to do

please guide kindly

    What do you mean by characters? You would need some kind of image editor to create textures, almost certainly, and if you are hoping to sell at DAZ you would probably need to create custom morphs by adjusting the mesh directly in a modelling or sculpting application, for a character for an existing figure; for a new figure you would definitely need a modelling application. DAZ Studio does have the tools needed to turn models, new shapes and texture images into a new character add-on or a new figure though.

    usually i create 3d characters by maya 3d as complete model, do i need to import it to daz3d and modify it or what do i need exactly to create complete model in daz3d make it ready for sale on site , what tools do i need ?

    i wish to find any tutorials about this

    DAZ Studio isn't a modeller, so you would import your model from Maya (OBJ format, UV mapped and ideally grouped) into the Figure Setup pane to create your hierarchy, then click the Create button in there to place the figure in the scene for editing the weight maps and adjusting joint centres and orientation. Morphs (blend shapes) can then be imported, in OBJ format again, using the Morph Loader plugin from Edit>Figure and materials set up in the Surfaces pane.
