Toy Train Stand-alone animation

This little animation was the simpliest animation I have ever done for a train. The run program stands in the .CR2 and I had only one cursor to move in order to get a whole rounding train. Just take a look at http://www.3djoji.be/Render/3Djoji_ToyTrain.mpeg (180MB) or load the zip file from http://www.3djoji.be/Render/3Djoji_ToyTrain.zip (154MB) or take a look at http://youtu.be/rorpCLFNf2Y or at vimeo https://vimeo.com/80809867

Just watched it on Youtube, very clean animation and the jazzy jingle Christmas music worked well with the visuals. Nice product 3DJoji !

Hey finally found you 3djoji Couldn't find you cause I was spelling your name wrong, doh. 3djoli does not work so well as 3djoji. lol

I love this toy train however there is at least one if not two files missing.

3DjBox (obj ?) is missing and I am getting random error message about a 3djBallast (obj?) missing too. I use Poser 9.

Can I get those two files from you ? I am working with this toy train now and I would really like
    to get that boxdeck working.

Also is there a caboose for this train ? If not now, maybe in the near future ?

AWESOME youtube video on this train in animation !!!!! And thanks a million for letting us have the sequence of this animation.
I love this toy train even more.

    Updated:
Oops, the file is not a animation sequence for the train. That zip file is a mpeg. OH well, still love the train.

would you share that animation sequence ? Or can we buy it ?

Have you checked that these two files are really missing in the runtime/geometries/3djoji/toytrain? The copy I have from daz installer shows me the files you're talking about. if not, send me a message with an address mail where I can send you these two files. If yes, there is perheaps another indexing files problem. Another trick is that the Ballast seems missing if you let the ground in poser because it is under the ground level.

the animation is simple : when you've parented the loco, wagon etc to the railcircle, just choose to change the parameter "run" in the railcircle body from zero (zero image) to up you want for the last image sequence. all the animation sequence is done.

Yes that was the first thing I did was check Poser to be sure it wasn't there. I do not have a 3djbox or 3djballast file in your stuff then I ran
a computer wide search and found nothing.

A thought occurs to me. I did not check the zip file. brb........ OMG the files are in the zip file. Huh. Wonder why they didn't unzip
with the rest of the files.

Ok, well, sorry to bother you on this. Looks I had the files all along in the zip. Geez, why didn't it unzip with the other files.
Well I will just unzip it again to Poser.

Thank you so much for replying so promptly and helping me figure out where those files are. You rock.

I can not find parameter "run" I have the locomotive and the wagonbases all comforming to the railcircle.

I found TrainRun under toyloco which moves the wheels and connected arms. Cool.

But when I am on railcircle I am not finding the parameter run. Can you please give more details on where to find this ?

so sorry, I've already forgotten all these. I check : the rail circle body1, when selected shows well also the trainrun command. This one is the master for all.

I don't have a body1 for rail circle. I have body and I don't have trainrun listed. There is Body 1 parts but there is a long list but no
    body 1 listed, just body.

Is this information in your readme file ?

Ok, I uninstalled Poser 9, then reinstalled it. I downloaded a fresh toy train from DAZ. Then I reinstalled Toy Train. And at first that Trainrun was not showing up in the railcircle but now all of a sudden, it's there along with Body 1. I have no idea how this happened, lol
    but glad it did.

What a weird day for me, Poser and Toy Train. Anyway, must be magic cause it is now there.

I now have a completely running model and thanks so much 3djoji for all your help. Hoping if this happens to someone else
these postings will be helpful to them. But they must believe in Magic, lol.

    Well I am back.

It's random when that body 1 shows up. I can't find a way to trip it when I want it. It keeps bouncing back to the dials with no
trainrun on it. Makes it very hard to make an animation with it.

Is there anyway to stablize body 1 ?

I really love this train. It's great to work with. But I bought it cause I wanted to animated it going in a circle.

It is simplier to select this one from the hierarchy menu, I never use the drop menu.

Found what I was doing wrong on texturing the engine. So I am pulling my question.

But a caboose would be so great should you care to make one for this train.
I tried using one of the passenger cars but it still looks like a passenger car when red.

I really like this toy train and thank you so much for all you help.

    Cheers,

    Nice looking train!

I might buy it soon, especially if it will scale for the Toon Gen characters. If nothing else, just to appreciate 3Djoji's amazing modeling! My collection so far: Toon Private Plane, Toon Racer, Elite Soldiers, Pilgrims, Mariachi, MoonWalker, Little Soldiers Bundle, Safari Off Road. Love them all!

Just today I ordered the Little Soldiers bundle plus the poses set. Will create my First War of the Toon Gens this weekend!

I really, really hope 3Djoji will make some more sets for Toon Gen!

What is your needs for addons for the toon générations? I'm ready to make more of them but I need more informations about the requests. Perheaps it is a good way that you open a discussion in the common to catch everybody concerned by this.

    Wow! That is wonderful news!

I will start a thread in the commons (I have never been there) in a day or two.

I think the hardest thing for people is clothing for the Toon Gen characters, but I realize there is more than just clothes. I also realize that I do not know what would actually sell.

To start off, I could say that I would be very interested in sets that would cover modern life and the cycle of life. For example: wedding (priest, wedding dress with veil, other things); funeral (casket, grave yard, grave with dirt, black clothes for the guests); birth (baby wrapped in blanket, baby carry, balloons); legal (clothes for police officer, judge, prisoner, court room).

Other ideas could be: winter play (winter coats, ski jacket, goggles, scarf, ice skates); work (uniform for police officer, including hat; apron for cook, sales, waiter; fast food hat).

Also, I looked at your website and saw some very nice models, including those on the discontinued page. Do you plan to offer them for sale again?

    Thanks again!

SO sorry for you folk who wanted a little more for the toy train, the second set is declined by Daz (not enought toon or not enough real?). I don't know if I ever put it on sale elsewhere because the toy train stands in my shop here. If I collect enough whishes for it, perheaps I can argue to get it passed but without any promise from Daz. Just some shots of this little set which includes a new ovale rail animated for 10 wagons. I will post the animation of this last stuff here in a week.
