G8 into C8 to paint on?

How can I bring G8 into Carrara 8 pro to paint on the figure?  I assume C8 has some paint on figure option.  Not in front of computer to look at it.  What else can I do in Carrara to Genesis 8?  Create clothing or morphs? Hair?

First, you need Mystarra's G8 character for carrara available for free at that other site.  Otherwise, G3 and G8 crash Carrara when try to load.

Now, I will toot my own horn.  I have a few posts in which I provide screenshot examples of creating stuff for G8 using Carrara.  Here are a few examples.

Renderotica or Renderosity?  Or yet another NSFW site?  Wait Rendo is safe for work, I think?  Honestly what is with the “that other site” stuff? What site is so horrible that we are not allowed to say it’s name?  I know a 3D site made by Voldemort.  I mean that guy who we cannot name.

    Renderosity is the one.

I managed to get A3 into Carrara, but I cannot figure out how to paint on her.  I cannot watch Carrara YouTube videos right now but I probably can later when I get home tonight.  Maybe I need to find the right YouTube video or something, but I am unable to figure out how to paint on Aiko 3.

Each of thefollowing dashes corresponds to an attached screenshot.  Key is to know that you paint on the "model" level of the figure.

    - load Aiko 3 in assemble room.  I loaded the Daz Aiko3 "blank" edition.

    - select the model level of the figure in lower right corner of the assemble room

    - click the 3dpaint tool in the upper left menu of the assemble room. You will get a warning about the current textures, in my case that there are none (blank) and that I have to create some first.

    - under the textures tab in upper right of screen, click the color tab to open, and then click the magic wand to create a new texture. It warns that the shader instance will change and asks if wish to continue

    - menu appears with list of shader domains.  Select the desired file size, eg 1048 by 1048, the base color (white?), and the shader domains to be affected.  Note that Aiko3 and most other figures have overlapping UVs, meaning that painting on the face will alo paint on a portion of the limbs and torso, etc. if all are enabled.

    - once confirm file size and shader domains, choose a file name, format, and location for your paint job.  Recommend tif format for no particular reason.

    - I prefer to uncheck file compression

    - Once file properties have been chosen above, square maps appear in the color channel on right (or whichever channel (color, alpha, bump, etc)) you chose to paint on.

    - make sure the litle paint brush icon in your channel is chosen.  You may have to click it, it should be "bright" when checked compared to "dull" when unchecked.

    - go to tool tab nex to texture tab on the right.  Choose if you desire symmetry, choose a painting color from wheel, choose a brush, choose brush size.

    - You can zoom in using camera tools.  You can also adjust painting mode in upper left menu (eg., airbrush).  You can adjust brush size holding control key, in addition to manually setting in menu.  I chose green.

    - I painted 4 green streaks on the left cheek.  Notice that some streaks also appear on the right side (symmetry), and on the eyes (because of the previously mentioned overlapping UVs).

    - Return to texture menu and right click the square map to bring up the saving menu.  I prefer to save as a tif file for no particular reason.
