Freezing DAZ Settings

Spent three days on DAZ Studio, many issues, all resolved now.
Question, is there a way inside of DAZ itself to create a backup
of the settings?
Do not want to go through this again, ever.
By the way. this helped me

You can save the Workspace and Style layouts in the Window menu inside DS, is that what you mean?
You can also save User Data if you have created Categories, so that you don't have to redo them. What exactly do you want to save?
To elaborate.
For the past few months, certain features of DAZ did not work.
I have used DAZ to link over 25 Runtimes. DAZ Studio content alone is now 100gbs.
1. When I would access items in the Content Library would have to wait 5 to 10 minutes for
icons to appear.
2. The Surface tab is divided into two sections editor and presets. For months nothing has
appeared in presets.
3. Smart content showed nothing.
These same problem existed in two separate computers.
Had been under the erroneous impression that to uninstall and reinstall DAZ would mean to
reinstall content.
On one computer, three days ag.o developed a problem unrelated to DAZ,
Had to format it.
Worked on it for three days. Last thing were to transfer Runtimes and install DAZ, took one full night and
half a day.
When I got through DAZ worked fine.
So yesterday. decided to put all my efforts to getting DAZ on the other computer to work.
For about 8 hours, installed, uninstalled, etc.
I was under the impression that the installation of DAZ was contained into two areas
1.Program files which held the program itself.
2 The My Library Part which holds the content.
Turns out there are few more folders scattered around (for instance Program data)
So that even if you uninstall the program there are still sections scattered around.
Using the information from the article I uploaded, I was able to get everything to work.
Now.
I do not want to do this again.
I would be willing to not add additional runtimes.
I would be agreeable that the only future content to be added would be to DAZ Studio.
I would be willing not to update nor install any other versions of this program.
I would give up the ability to add additional plugins
I wish to keep all the settings for all the folders as they are at this moment.
At this moment everything works.
The workspace, etc, does not matter.
I basically wish to freeze the program at this moment in time.
Sort of a backup and restore type of thing.
Can it be done by DAZ?
Wild guess, answer is no?
As you say, the content is completely separate from the program. I don't know of any program that can do what you ask, it can be done in Windows by using the Restore option, but that is for everything on your system.
DAZ Studio content can be installed anywhere, as long as you tell DS how to access it using the Content Directory Manager. Backup your content folder (My Library or My DAZ 3D Library or whatever folder you are using).
Reinstalling DAZ Studio does not affect the content at all. Any time that you move the content folder, you need to tell DS as explained, where the content is now. Smart Content is controlled by the CMS, and CMS MUST also be running for things like the search function in the Content Library pane, Autofit, Products and Categories.
If you have your own Categories set up, then you should save your User data from the DB Maintenance option, and it can be read in again to the DB if there are any problems. Metadata can also be read in again at any time so that Smart Content can work.
So, backing up your content folder is all that you really need to do to make sure you don't have any further problems.

Unfortunately this is not entirely correct for the reasons outlined.
Thank you very much for your time.
Will just have to cross my fingers.
