Is there anyway to create a interior that mimics the properties of per say..... the Uber Environment.
being that the light is cast around the room evenly without creating a type of shine on my character like the were in a campfire.

Right now, I am using a Linear Point Light, and Im just not satisfied with the results. not sure what else to do.

I don't have Luxus but I use Reality which I'm told has some similarity (they both send data out to LuxRender to be rendered) the idea in your scene would be to create a lighting structure like a professional photographer uses to shoot in a room. I highly suggest to Google how they do that because it's a little more involved than turning on a light since an eye and a film see light a little differently, also you should look into 3Point lighting as well. Even if you use light props in the room you're probably going to need a few big lights pointing from different directions outside your camera view to pump up the illumination before it gets to lux's interface, and then tweak from the lux interface as needed,.

3Delight is an entirely different setup for lighting and it's far less natural than what LuxRender needs so for the most part it works to a point then has nothing in common so trying to apply the 3Delight method for the whole project probably won't work.

If you don't need LuxRender (and since you mention linear point lights, you probably don't), look at the Advanced Ambient Lighting product, which allows you to limit the radius of the ambience.

What type of light effect are you trying to achieve, If its interior lighting then the best way to go is by creating mesh lights, which is taking an object and adding the luxus/luxrender light settings to it.

To do this 1st make sure you are on the surfaces tab, then select the surface that you wish to make into a light source (see the 3rd image)
next click on the little menu icon and select Luxus - LuxRender Material (see the 5th image),
next select Material Type - Matt, put a check mark in Light Parameters and Copy Studio Parameters then click on Accept (see the 4th image)
then scroll down to the luxRender settings and turn LuxRender Light - Enable to ON, just below that you can set the colour of the light (see 2nd image).

Take a look at the 1st image, all lighting was done in this way,

Hope this is of some help.

(sorry the images are in the wrong order but thats how they seemed to be uploaded)
