FW Darc & Sun Hair - Render & Questions/Comments Thread

Hi all,

Darc my new character is out today, and free for a limited time only. I worked together with the amazing Fisty on him, and I hope you all like him.

    Hi on the last promotion image it's written perfect for Sun Hair. What's that hair ?

    I have a question: does Darc add any snowballs? If giveaways are only available for two days and they give snowballs, I won't be able to get them.

    Thank you FW and Fisty, Darc is a fun one and he has a lot of personality ...and a fair bit of a temper *grins* Atleast.. he did when I made this :) But he do fits well as Lord of Winter I think ... 2 angles as I couldn't decidw which one I preferred :)

    Story:

    The Lord of Winter is just about to "welcome" some uninvited guests that arrived just when he was about to get cozy with his loved one...

    BWC Skies (Sky 06. Slightly changed intensity on the lights)

    Michael 6 Variety poses - pose 12 (slightly tweaked)

    M6 HD Addon (details, body)

    M6 Body & Head morphs bundle (used body morphs)


    Rendered in Daz Studio 4.6, signature added in Photoshot CS6

    The eyes are the lightest of the preset, which I have than played with in Surface - Iris.

    As far as I am aware they don't add snowballs, and he's not showing on the snowball page either, so I would say that no he doesn't seem to be adding any, At least not while he's free.

    He isn't on the promotion page, so I don't think so

    Thank you to FWArt and Fisty for this great-looking character! Just what I've been looking for...I expect he'll see a lot of use. :) And thanks to DAZ for facilitating...free is good regardless, but having access to the products through DIM and/or the Product Library is certainly appreciated.

    Thank you FWArt and Fisty for this wonderful guy :-). I did not have the G2M Body Morphs and because I wanted him I ended up getting the G2M Morphs Bundle. So I guess you could say you and Fisty nabbed DAZ a sale...lol!! Thank you all again for this delicacy of a man :-).

    Thanks to your free download, I've discovered that M6 textures are incredibly similar to M4, so with a little bit of work they can be swapped for each other!

    It seems he can't have both a beard and the facial tatoos.

    If you apply, eg, the facial tatoos then the beard the tattoos vanish. And vice versa.

    And islandgurl31, I am sure you'll be glad you got them in the end, the head would have worked without it anyway, but good to have the extra options for the body, so you'll be loving having those morphs, I am sure.

    I haven’t much compared those two textures jondevitt, but I would imagine they should be fairly similar. If you have the M4-G2M thing from Slosh you can do it even easier, just apply the M4 UV and it should do it perfectly.

    Luxgabu, thats right, both are not possible. Because I was putting him out as a freebie we had to decide on how many options and things were doable. And had to have a limit really. So it isn't something that I added. However there is a way you can do it fairly easily. If you have PS or any other program like that, just take both textures, the beard one and the face tattoo one, overlay them and select "darken". Make sure you use the face tattoo texture without the brows though. Then just save it as normal. Go into DS or Poser, select the beard option, then go into your surfaces and change the face one to the new one you created. Hope that helps.
