Transfer Utility Hangs At 17%

The transfer utility hangs at 17%, no matter what my source and destination. Within seconds of starting the utility, DAZ's memory usage shoots to over 7GB. I'm running a high-spec overclocked machine. I'm mostly trying to do various combinations of -

Vicky 4.2 or Michael 4 with exported then imported morphs --> Gen 2 with the V4/M4 clone
V4/M4 current --> Gen 2 with clone
V4/M4 based obj current --> Gen 2 based obj current with near vertices

Obviously I'm trying to force Gen 2 to in some way accept my V4/M4 morphs - I know a couple of ways to do it and I'm hypothesising a couple of others (eg translate to the vertices on a Gen2 obj then import from there), but I can't get the transfer utility to play ball with any of them.

Incidentally, I've only been doing this since last night (after the Daz update). I have used the transfer utility in the past - admittedly on low-polygon items - successfully.

Thoughts?

    Thanks, it's attached. I also have consistent hangs immediately on starting ERC Freeze.

    If it matters at all, my actual install and content are on G:\ drive. It's the same physical disk, just partitioning. G:\ is dedicated to 3D work.

    The source can be a weight-mapped figure only - have you converted V4/M4 to weight mapped? And what are you using as source in the OBJ to OBJ example? There are a couple of long threads on using the Transfer utility for morph transfer, I'm afraid it's not a feature I've used much.

    There was a major issue with ERC freeze a while back, but it should be working in the current and previous versions.

    I now test with othercase to hope to transfer morph for clothing
    then meet same problem. maybe your case is same.

    usually we can not select morphs which we want to transfer.
    that means, when you set morph option as source,
    it must transfer all morph which saved or injected in your figure.

    so that, when I hope to transfer rig for clothing etc, I usually check off
    the morph advanced option, or use templates.

    but as your case, you need to transfer character morph from gen or other generation figure,
    so that you must check on from soruce.

    about these case, we need to set up Souce figure,
    not transfer so many morphs at once.

    Now i forget it, then TU start to transfer all morphs in my data for genesis,
    then as you said, it stop at 17% , then shut down ds.

    when I first see this topic, I think maybe you try to all morphs at once
    without intention, but I could not confirm.

    Then I transfer some Aiko4 morhps with carefully setting to remove this problem.
    (only use default cr2, then change triax figure, after that, I import character morph
    as obj, for the triax Victoria4, then transfer only these morphs.
    not inject other morphs (eg morph++ or other characters)

    if you hope to restrict your morphs about Source genesis,
    you need to move your morphs when you use TU,
    from your current data folda. I usually make two data-folda,
    and when I transfer morphs from genesis, I set ds to use the data-folda
    so that, genesis transfer only morphs which I selected.

    if you hope to know how to about transfer different generation morphs
    I can tell more detail, how to. It is my way so that something different maybe
    other users, but as for me it can transfer many clean character morphs to genesis from Victoria.
    though it need more times for set up ^^;

    eg if you try to transfer Aiko4 morphs from victoria to genesis,
    your figure eye may break as usuall way I think.
    some V4morphs use eye scale and eye translation,
    but it make problem, after chaanged triax figure,,,
