My Smart Content Is Stupid

Long time issue with Studio. Even when I manage to fix it (cant remember all the steps off the top of my head) It just ends up broken again. I hoped with the new 4.6 it would fix it, just as I did with the last release. Still broken after using the install manager to redo. I remember installing over and over so wont be doin that again.

Just frustrated that it's still like this and I've never found an answer as to why. Meta data? IDK. Anyone know?

EDIT: No smart content. For some reason when I load Genesis I get some but I think that's from a partial fix I did before. The Genesis character isn't there and yes I load it the other way.

    Does Smart Content not appear at all?
    Is CMS running? If not, try to start it from Start > All Programs > DAZ 3D.

    Smart Content needs CMS to work. You can still see all of your content in the Content Library pane.

    You will need to provide more information so that we can help you.

    I will try to load CMS that way to make sure but I do get some because of a partial fix I did a while back but none of the G2 stuff is there and I never installed that before. Some of G1 stuff is in there but not Genesis. Have to load through the Content library. Just think it's silly to call it Smart content.

    EDIT: So, started CMS from there and nothing. When Studio opens there is no content but for some reason when I load Genesis some shows up.

    If it's so Smart then shouldn't it be at least as good as the normal stuff? Ha! Will be nice if it ever works though. Tried on more than one comp. One is AMD processor and card and the other is intel and nvidia. Don't think it matters.

    But really it's not a big thing. The fact that they give it away for free when thousands of hours of development probably went into the thing makes me feel bad for criticizing. Autodesk would charge a few grand.

    If the CMS is running and you have NO smart content that means your DATABASE file is corrupt. It would need rebuilt new.
    If the CMS is running and you only get some smart content that means you never IMPORTED the metadata for all your content.
    If the CMS shuts down AFTER DAZ Studio starts that can be one or more of many things.

    Do this after you Start the CMS by hand to be sure it is running. Open the Content Library Tab, use the mini menu (four line thing) to Open the
    Content DB Maintenance menu do Re-Import MetaData let it run. Close Daz Studio and then Reopen. If all is set up right you should have Smart content now.

    And this may be a stupid question on my part, but do you have something in the scene selected? That is required for smart content to work.
