Since reloading all my content using the Daz install manager all my old setups give me the error message attached. Can anyone explain how to reassign missing content in a scene. All I get is the cameras and lights.
Thanks,

gav

Did you back-up the \Data folder from your previous set up? If not you hae lost the files for Poser content and OBJ files from old scenes; if you have an older version of DS you can rebuild them but not with 4.5+ alone.

No I didn't. What is the \Data folder? really wish I had time to study this software more closely. Thanks for the reply. gav

When you import Poser content or OBJ files the geometry and morphs get converted to native format and stored in the Data folder. DS 4.5 and later keep a reference to the original files and can rebuild them from the original content if need be, but older versions didn't and couldn't. If you can't recover the original folder you will need to reinstall the older version of DS that you used, load the content used (models and morphs, not poses, lights, cameras, materials and so on) and save a scene - that should rebuild the Data folder so that the scenes using that content will load.
