So with the 22% Discount, Is DAZ doing 23%, 24%, 25% for the 23rd-25th?

Save Britney a BUNCH of tickets- because although we can not return items, we sure can get the price difference if there is a better price within 30 days. So is tomorrow going to be 23% off? DAZ, be smart and consider poor Britney. If I buy a bunch of stuff and you give a better discount tomorrow, I certainly will submit every single order (edit) if the discounts are substantially different.

So is that the deal?

EDIT: And I did a screenshot. Does not say not affect previous purchases so my tickets have been filed already.

I would expect no refunds to mean no price matching - the price match is after all the equivalent of returning and repurchasing. However I can't speak for CS. As for progressive discounts up to Christmas, while not impossible I wouldn't count on it.

So does this stack with the Snowball discount?

I do not see any fine print saying no refunds... I really this sale is not a no-refunds thing...

I think it's a good place to ask that question: would you use the discount today? I wouldn't like to checkout with over $70 worth of content just to realise today the discount is bigger. I am really considering getting the membership today, but I need to be sure it's the best deal I can get.

There is a 30-day price guarantee in the store, if I recall correctly. If the discount (and thus the price) is lower later this week, file a support ticket, provide the order number, and ask for store credit for the difference.

To answer my own question, yes, the two discounts stack. I got the Annual PC membership for about $38.

I would like to know at what point does the additional 22% kick in..if your order totals 50.00 regular price, sale price plus snowball discount total ..I have no clue how to figure it

I'm honestly not sure how it works. Based on my math, I was charged too much, but the stacking of multiple discounts gets so complicated that I probably figured it wrong.

Off of the non-sale price I got about 56% off my total purchase. Somehow you have to work in the sale price of the items, my 20% Snowball discount and the 22% bonus discount.

My subtotal, without discounts was $121.80. My total discounts came to $68.52. I paid $53.28.

I tried working it out by just using the Annual PC Membership as an example, and couldn't manage to get things to balance. It's on sale for 30% off, making it $49 when I add to my cart. If I then subtract 20% for my Snowball discount ($9.80) I'm left with $39.20. If I then subtract out the additional 22% ($8.60), I end up with a total of $30.60. That's about $8 less than what I paid. Since that seemed the most logical way to figure the discount (in my math-weak mind), I'm not sure what is actually happening.

I also tried ignoring the 30% off sale price and simply using the Snowball Discount and the 22% discount and that came out a little over $40, so that isn't what is going on either.

Snowball doesn't apply for PC membership, so you just get the 22% in addition to the sales 30%.

    From http://www.daz3d.com/snowball-of-savings

    DETAILS

Ineligible for return = items purchased to receive Snowballs as well as items bought with your accumulated Snowball Savings
Exclusions = Gift Cards, Platinum Club Membership, products by Reallusion Animation & any new releases not currently shown on the Snowball of Savings page.
Limitations = Maximum discount for Snowball savings is 50%.

Ah, excellent, that clears everything up. Thanks for pointing that out. $38 is still a great price for the PC membership.

Kharma, it kicks in when the regular price hits 50.00, at least that's what it did for me. I went item by item and the discounted price (per item) changed once I went from 47.00 to 52.00 in the regular price.

Are you referring to this statement on the front page? I read that as a guarantee of product satisfaction not "transaction or price" satisfaction. Price satisfaction is best achieved before you open the wallet. However should "a product" not meet your expectations any reason, it may be returned. I can see how you infer there is price protection but I am not certain it is how DAZ intended it. Is the "price you paid" an attribute of the product you acquired? Not really., "price paid" is the cash the vendor received for sales of the product to you so the " Price Protection" interpretation of the guarantee is incorrect. In-fact this interpretation works against the actual determination of satisfaction and over all product success as it means profits is not tied to sales & overall product success but to rather how it is priced and marketed rather than the joy it delivers to the user. That would be very unfair to content developers. Developers would lose incentive reach for quality and focus of the low hanging fruit of products that incur less risk.

Incident;y PC benefit terms also do not guarantee best price or that a product with special PC pricing today will not be further discounted in the future.

    Reference DAZ Guarantee of Satisfaction:

    BETTER THAN RISK FREE

We're so convinced that you'll like our products that we offer a 30-day money back guarantee with every purchase made on our site! Try out any product in our store for thirty days. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase we'll give you your money back.

Customers who DAZ deems to be abusing the return policy and excessively returning products will receive notification from DAZ. This notification may also include notice of additional actions such as suspension of the customer's ability to further leverage the return policy, and possible suspension of their account and/or ability to make further purchases.

And that's more than a guarantee.
    It's our personal promise.

Yep, and with all the cross sales going on all the time, if a regular buyer were to exercise price protection on every opportunity they could end up getting hammered by that other little clause "deems abusing" and "excessive".

If they keep increasing the sale percent until Xmas... that would be awesome. If you see a great bargain today... buy it. Alot of components in these sales change daily... which PA stores have discounts, which new products work with snowballs changes, so if you see a great bargain.. grab it.

For me, if i'm buying any PC items, it calculates the 30% pc discount first, and then the total still has to reach 50 after the 30% discount... and then 22% is taken off that.

I don't know anything about the snow ball stuff. I haven't participated in the snowball stuff at all. but the $50 dollar amount has to be reached after the PC discount is applied. then the 22% was taken off.

When they first announced the Snowball Sale, DAZ_Jared also stated that if you did not want to participate and be locked into the no return clause for this particular promo, you needed to submit a ticket asking for an opt out. Since I doubted I get much beyond 10% (if that), I felt keeping the return option was a better option.

It was over, but since it was wildly successful we've turned it back on. Right now you can save 22% off of orders of $50 or more.

The $50 must be reached after other discounts are applied, not before the discounts apply.
