I was wondering about this because I would like to make some of my own clothing textures, but not all of the venders offer their templates.

You can save the UV set bu using the depreciated File>Save As> Depreciated> UV Preset function.
I believe the OP meant can they save the uv view as a template for making textures. I don't believe that is an option, but you can download UVMapper for free and import the .obj then save the texture map from there. That is what I do when creating templates for my products.
You could always do a screengrab with UV tab max size, particularly if you've got a fairly high res screen - alternatively contact the vendor as its pretty standard to include the templates. Sometimes links are on the product pages as a separate download.
Products sold at Daz all have the templates. They're on the product page in the resources tab rather than included with the download.
I wish that was the case Vask.....I would say many but not all. :)
Are they all old as dirt ones that don't?
http://www.daz3d.com/collective3d-blue-collar-bungalow what you say. LOL
Well then... lol
Damnit, now I'm not seeing the resources tab on anything. /sigh
Haha
hehehe It is a bone of contention for me...I wish they all had templates.
Nowadays some (not all) templates are in your account / product library ...
oh yeah I hadn't noticed http://www.daz3d.com/vintage-luggage not on the product page but as Kerya said in my account/product library. Sweet thanks Kerya
I just happened to see it ...
Me, I am making my templates with StitchWitch ... :)
I was pleased to see the following in the DS Change Log -- not yet released, but in the private beta versions:
Rendering OpenGL Preview now uses the active DrawStyle instead of forcing Texture Shaded; allows for Wireframe renders
Is that the rendering style where it's best not to obscure the viewport (ie minimizing daz)?

Yes, although hardware rendering is very fast.
