So , I purchased a couple of M3 clothes and they are not showing up in the content even though I clearly selected "categorize" and categorized them as wardrobe. Has anyone run into this before ? Any ideas what I can do to see those show up. I can actually get them included in the scene if I go into the folder structure and drill down to Content/Poser/Figures (which is where they got isntalled) , then doubleclicking and selecting the figure type to fit to (so that it can convert them to genesis fit). But they refuse to appear under smart content.

Smart Content is not the same as categories - in order for something to appear in Smart Content it needs to be set to have a compatibility base, and that base item needs to be selected. I'm not sure if M3 itself is set up to be "smart", if it isn't then you wouldn't be able to set it as the base. You should, however, be able to find the content in Categories since you've added it as well as under Poser Formats.
Content needs MetaData to show up in the Smart Content tab. Some of the older products doesn't have them added to by now.
You can check it easily yourself if the conten you use is shipped with MetaData:
in the .zip there has to be a .dsa , a .dsx file an either a .jpg or .png inside the "Content/Runtime/Support" folder.
If such isn't there you can either
A) wait for DAZ to update the product with MetaData
or
B) create the MetaData by yourself following theese instructions = http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/packaging/tutorials/adding_metadata/start
Could be somewhat timeconsuming to do it the first time, but once you're get used to it it's somewhat easy. Then you can even create MetaData for products from other stores which usually aren't shipped with, like Renderosity or RuntimeDNA.
