Name That Monster

I was just looking at the Bio Squad Dragonfly -which looks very nice, BTW- and in the second promo image there's a pretty sweet looking monster type thing. I'm sure I've seen it before, but I've searched on Rendo, RDNA and Daz and I can't seem to find it.

Does anyone know what it is/where to get it?

It is one o the Sanctum Arts characters but, unfortunately, that company has long since gone belly up...

I couldn't help but looking into it. It's Sanctum Art's "Scythe" figure. I don't know if it's still obtainable. Pretty interesting discussion could be made about copyright of defunct companies.

Except that SA isn't really 'defunct'...and the whole story as to why they are no longer available is very long and very complex and a tad incomplete.

If they aren't completely blown out why can't the OP just buy the model?

Basically, SA pulled out of the market of selling models, in part because he was tired of everything of his getting 'jacked'...he's still around and has moved on to other things, in the 3D world, but still actively pursues (last I looked) copyright infringement...so, basically, they are still 'active' and not abandoned. There's a lot more to it, than that...

So, basically, if you got them, considered them a treasure. If you don't...think of it as a limited edition that may at some point return to the market (not very likely, but we can always hope...).

Ah, rough. I'm sure he's heard this before, but by removing some (obviously nice) models from stores 100% of the consumption will be non-kosher .

He sold his models through his own website, and he eventually just stopped maintaining the website.

He did sale on other sites but not often, I happen to be a lucky owner of his Havoc figure that was sold here at DAZ 3D for a bit of time. I would SO love to be able to gather, at darn near any price, most of his other figures. I hate what theft did to him and others in the market.

There are a bunch of us that would jump on that with you...
