Content Pane is Stuck

For some arcane reason my content pane is stuck in a window that has a lot of checkmarked boxes, hands, feet, hair, etc. Despite my best efforts I cannot get it to return to the default position. Help please.

Sounds as if it is docked with Power pose. You have tried dragging the tab out into the workspace? If there are no customisations you want to keep you could just reload your layout - Window>Workspace>Select Layout....
