Dynamic Control Problem

I am confused about something regarding the Dynamic Control. I bought the plugin back when I had D3, I currently have it available in D 4.5, however I am noticing something different between the two. In D3, I could do collide but also had the option to do other movements such as the wind. In the current one, I don't have the option. I thought maybe the problem was similar to animate and you get a basic version unless you own it and have the serial, yet I have no way of adding a serial, just tried doing that today and can't find that option. As for the plugin panel for doing so the Dynamic Control does not who up there, only the animate2 does.

Anyone have any idea's what is going on so I can fix this and get those extra options back?

Did you install the Dynamic Clothing Control for DS4? If you use DIM to install, there are separate packages for the general release (which just says "DS4.5+") and the beta (which says "Public Build").

That didn't work. I downloaded the D4 version and installed it and then suddenly all my dynamic clothes would only load the rig, the plugin didn't show under window tabs, I had to uninstall it.

Oh and I don't use DIM

Did you enter your Reg Key? Hope you get this worked out. Mine shows as the full working plugin (ds4 version) once regged.

if it does that you might have the old .dll still in there
    happened to me
it SHOULD just require a registration number as Jaderail says but with all the new builds I added once it got somehow messed up so the wrong dll was in there
deleting it and reinstalling DS4 fixed it.

Actually, you can just go into the plugins folder and rename dzoptitex dlls to something else, you'll still have them around, instead of just deleting it.

So where do I find the old dll to either remove or change it, also I never got the option to add the serial, still only shows the animate2 plugin on the plugins pop up to add those, unless there is another way to add it?

To be more specific I have Daz 4.5.1.56...I can't upgrade cause 4.6 refuses to even install on my computer, I need a better graphics card and more ram for it to run.

Edit...found the plugin folder and the only opitex dll in there is this one...dzoptitexclothbasic .dll

I seem to have a similar problem. The PDF states for Mac users to unpack the zip file to access the installer. I do not find a .zip, but there is a script file titled install_dynamic_clothing_control.sh. It doesn't run.

Umm.. For DS4.5 you will need to contact the Support Techs to get the FULL Dynamic Control for that version as the proper plugins are only in your DL's when THAT version is the FULL version offered. I always SAVE all content and PLUGINS for each version when they go live just in case I need to roll back. Same Applies to any Shader packs. They also get updates.

For the MAC issue please contact Support.

I'll check my disks. If memory serves me right, I saved the plugin and the serial for it.

Edit...found the plugin folder and the only opitex dll in there is this one...dzoptitexclothbasic .dll

I looked in my plugin file and I have two optitex dlls dzoptitexclothbasic.dll.basic and dzoptitexclothcontrol.dll I am currently on 4.6.1.17

So I went in and looked at my down loads and for the DAZ Studio 4.5.1.56 version I have DS4_DynamicClothingControl_1.2.1.56_Win64.exe

    for DS4.6.1.17 I have DS4_DynamicClothingControl_1.3.0.18_Win64.exe
I also went to DAZ Studio and on the ribbon that has File Edit Create etc etc. I went to Help ->About Installed Plugin... and searched for the dynamic cloth control I see a green plug and when I click on the line that says Dynbamic Cloth Plugin - Control, the information there indicates that it needs the dzoptitexclothcontrol.dll and says the following about the plugin:
This plugin provides realistic cloth simulation through OptiTex virtual garment draping technology.
The Control version provides additional options for using and manipulating OptiTex cloth items in DAZ Studio.

So I imagine that in your product library you only have access to the newer version of the control and as Jade says you will have to contact the service desk to have them provide you with access to the version you need to run under your DAZ Studio version. Hope this helps

You may need to change the permissions on the script file to make it executable...don't ask me HOW to accomplish that on a MAC....
