    Very good list all are capable softwere though most of the time I will prefer ParticleShop for this specific task.

    Is there any 3d poseable props with morph that I can apply at the time of render?

    Somewhere there is a free poseable ribbon, if I can find it. You could trun it white or light grey,. turn down the opacity, and then use it to follow as a motion trail.
