And another view I did of this one overnight! 1930 Ford Model A Roadster, done up factory stock, the only issue I found with this one is the rumble seat is really too large!

Hey Robert, I believe you have till midnight tonight to get it at the special intro price, its not badly proportioned, except the rumble seat, that is just a little too large to be a rumble seat, and when in the open position, tends to be overbearing!

Hi guys, I'm back, at least for a short time, and, I'm back using Edge, haven't done much rendering lately, done a little, but not much, now I can't remember how to upload photos into the forums anymore!

Hey GL where have you been? We have missed you. Upload a photo? Attach the render. Post it. Click on the attached pic. It will open in a seperate page. Copy url. On the "Leave a comment" section, click the little square that has a mountain and sun in it on the top row. paste the url you just copied. Be sure your size doesn't exceed 800 in the width box or it won't post. Then click ok at the bottom. It should show on the thread then. Stick around a while. We have some real nice renders posted by lots of newbies. Again, I missed you.

I haven't been as active as I once was, had some financial upheaval and wasn't able to keep up my pc membership, and of course, couldn't afford much of anything, in fact, the Model A from 3D Classics is the first item I've purchased in awhile, as they say, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

I've been following Rod Halligan's youtube channel. As well as AFL Auto Blendz - 3D Car Creations.

Both are excellent car modellers you model in Blender.

I've learned more about car modeling from them then anyone else. I've beem modeling in 3D for about 20 years (Wings3D, Hexagon, Silo3D, MOI3D, 3DCoat & Groboto) BUT I am a complete novice in Bender3D and hope to make the transition away from Hex, Silo & Wings3D due to the lack of these apps being updated.

Did it make mirroring easier? The mirror option is Silo3D unlike Hexagon or Blender was just too confusing.

  • DanaTADanaTA Posts: 13,211

I've watched a video on that, and it didn't seem very confusing to me.  Haven't worked with Silo in about a year.  Was no expert at it, either.  Got frustrated with UV layout.  Was trying to do Fugazi's The Chest.  UV map kept messing up the hinges.  Couldn't figure out why.  I was following along exactly, best I could.  But this isn't about cars, so I should stop now...
