Can't create Poser CFs any more

I don't have the latest DS update, but the previous one (yes, it is a 4.6, just not sure exactly which version because it's on my computer, not the family one with wifi)
When I used 4.5 I could create Poser Companion Files, but with the version of 4.6 I have I cannot. Is there an option I need to select in the settings/options for the program? I have the latest DSON for Poser too and that works fine.
Thanks for any replies :)

Make sure you are on the content panel and click the arrow on the pane. It should be there in the menu. Or are you able to find it but the program isn't making the files?

Im having a problem with the DSON converter too. I have the menu option to create poser companion files, but when I use it, it informs me that several of my files can't be converted because they have unsupported content or the wrong extensions. But it does convert some files, which as far as I can see are no different from the ones it rejected.

Are all the files you're trying to convert in DUF format? If not then I don't think it converts them. Another possibility: maybe if you don't have the content in the default location, or if you have changed its location of the content yourself?

The files have the .duf extension. I am taking a genesis figure, modifying it, and saving it as a character preset in the My Libraries folder. Then I open that folder in the Content Library tab and click the Create Poser Companion Files spot on the menu. I accept the default settings in the window that pops up, and it runs. After it runs, it gives me a notification that some of the files in the folder weren't converted. I can't see any pattern or reason. This is really beginning to upset me. There's got to be something I'm missing.

That message probably means that it can't use metadata to automatically determine the type of PCF to create. I don't use the DS Content Manager, so I always select the option to manually choose the file types. Whenever I forget to do that, I get that very same error message.

Do you mean save the file with the Save option from the File menu? I've tried that (I'll try it again). But I still have to find the file in the DS Content Manager to apply the Create Poser Companion function, right?

No, that's not what I meant. In the PCF option box you can't use the default settings. You need to choose the option so that you can tell it what kind of PCF to create (Figure, Pose, Prop, etc.). It's supposed to use metadata to automatically determine what kind of PCF to create, but when that's not working, you get error message.
