Teen Josie has her own custom UV set, but some vendors may make a set for her that utilizes a different G2F UV.

Yes, I think it may indicate the different UVs, but I've pointed it out as a possible issue.

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for responding.

You could say that about all the figures.

My impression of this matrix is that it is telling you compatibility based on DAZ released products. If someone (vendor) creates a custom UV then this is longer the DAZ released version and therefore DAZ compatibility could no longer be assumed.

It would seem reasonable that this matrix means DAZ released figures as modified by DAZ (UV and all).

So if it is not completely compatible then it should have a footnote or not be in the full compatibility column.

I think this matrix will be very useful if it is consistent through out.

    ***** UPDATED *****

Thanks Richard for passing this along to the powers that be :-)

Teen Josie 6 actually does not have her own UV set she uses the V5 UV set, or the UV Set for Genesis 2 Base Female. Either way it is a UV set that is included with the Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials, so she should be listed as fully compatible.

I'm going to double check though and update when I find out for sure.

I can understand that, but I'd assume anything sold here at Daz would be considered a Daz released product.

    As an example, Mina: http://www.daz3d.com/mina

She is a set for V4 & Genesis. Her UV set is V4, so you couldn'y buy her thinking she's Genesis and you could use her textures on G2F (without additional work).

    Hi Tim,

I can see what you mean now.

Yes, if the DAZ name goes on it as a vendor then the quality/compatibility should be job 1. :-)

But just because a product is sold at DAZ store does that mean it is a DAZ product.

ONLY if it has the DAZ name on it in the vendor list. Otherwise it is just a DAZ quality approved product that DAZ is brokering for the vendor.

Mina may be compatible but it is not a DAZ vendor product, it is a brokered product by Countess and Silver. DAZ Q.A. the product and provides after sales support as per their broker agreement, but they did not make it compatible.
