fog camera help

I need something like this fog camera:

I plan to render with 3Delight, and the renders will be animations of figures moving through the fog. Does this product work as well with animations as it does with still images? If I have figures walking through the fog, will the figures clash with the fog creating unwanted effects that will make it look bad?
