Autodesk MAYA resources request

I figured the hexagon forum would be the best place to find help with modeling. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good books tutorials or other resources on creating content specifically hair and clothing for Daz3d Genesis and V4 in Maya or 3dmax. I have tried but when importing the content it doesn't really work, even with the info given at the doc wiki on content creator and modeling content any help would be greatly appreciated.
