Not getting the notifications

Hello!

I've been following some interesting threads for a while, and then the notifications of new postings stopped to come, but the thread was still alive and kicking when checking. And it was only pure luck I found that. It's very annoying when asking question and helpful people are replying and I don't get those replies. Not to mention that I come off rude as in couldn't she bother with a simple 'thanks' when I wrote all these stuff to her? This keeps happen to me more and more recently, and I wonder what I'm doing wrong, to have this happening to me. (I always make sure to have 'Notify me via email' toggled, when writing smth, and I've also checked that the notes do not get send to some spam box or anything like that)

It never used to happen to me, but the notifications seem to fail regularly now.

For the last few days they have been working properly, but over the holiday period, they did not work at all. It seems to be a bit hit and miss I'm afraid.

    I'm having this same problem for over 5 months;
and worse: when I answer / ask someone (post a new message), so I clic on submit post, and it redirects to my account in Daz 3d. After many times, going to my account, and cycling back on, I can win the site, and leaves you tired of going to my account, then the site gives up, and let me post my message in forum

It is off and on for me. Sometimes I get them, other times I come to the forum, shocked there are a ton of replies.

I sometimes wondered if perhaps it stops notifying me, if I don't check prior notifications?

IDK. but it works irregularly for me.

Happens to me as well. Sometimes it starts working again, sometimes not. I have not verified this so it could be incorrect information, however it was suggested somewhere that perhaps you need to be logged in BEFORE following the email link for it to know you have visited and resume sending notifications.

You mean you like these E-Bots? I'll stop poking the silly little things with my sharp pointy thing now.

The E-Bots are more than likely the First things to stop working when the Servers have a Issue people. And if like most other sites they will only start working again when a User resets them. They are not Global (I think) but flagged in each users account. So if they stop you must Post or reset again before they return. (I think.)

Also, the Prior Notifications MUST be used or the Default is to STOP sending Notifications. That is a known setting. So if you SKIP it you set that thread to stop sending them.

I like the little e-bots! Don't poke them!
It's your fault, we know it know! The poor little beasties are scared and don't dare to go out anymore!
    LOL

Usually, you just have to visit a thread again (not easy, when you were lead to your account because a new message was deleted / hidden) to restart getting notifications.

In the last days, I could see I was really unsubscribed to threads which I subscribed before.
You can see that in the titlebar of a thread - to the right: "Un-subscribe from this thread" means you are subscribed.

The Title in the UPPER right of the Forum will not reflect the setting your Cookie sent to DAZ if the Notification was not followed. I had noticed that long ago. I thinks its a short coming of the User Database.
