Released - Electric Drum Kit (commercial)
This is a set of modern electronic drums. The set includes a range of high-quality props, as well as four "ready-made" kit presets. The full sets and individual props have included Iray material presets that offer a few different styles to chose from.
Included in this set is a compliment of poses for both Genesis 8 Female/Male to get you rendering right out of the box. Stick load presets are included for both Genesis 8 Male and Female base characters.
These are fully rigged smart props that will load right onto the frame (Having the EDK_Frame prop selected is required). Once loaded, the cymbals, snare, toms, and module, can be slid and arranged on the frame to suit your own tastes. The module is fully rigged also and could be used to create those close-up details that add to your scenes. A power lead and power adaptor props are also included that will conform to the movement of the module's poses. Selecting the EDK_Module, will load these to props parented to it.
Have been going 100 to get this one ready. But, you'll see it wan't no "rush-job". There is lots of nice details and enough rigging to to have fun with this kit for some time. You only want a snare and two toms, I've made sure this kit lets you make a few personal decisions on the layout also. All the cymbals move and rock with a natural flow and the skins are rigged to simulate a tap/hit.
Credit: A huge Thanks! to Ivy Summers (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/9050/art-animations-by-ivy-summers/p1), who helped out enormously in the pace of this production. Featured in this set is a good variety of poses that were made by Ivy for the creative promos. They were tweeked and are included with some handy stool morphs to match them. Thanks again Ivy.
Am hoping you'll have some cool fun with this set. :)

Congratulations on this set my friend. Its a awesome drum set. It's very easy to work with, light on resources. first thing i noticed was the different set ups and how each part of the drum set can be used individually so they can be kit bashed, I also took notice of how well you did on the stool morphs to fit the character. Its been fun to work with . plus it was super easy to use, set up right out of the box was a breeze, no fussin around. to make things fit right
Also thank you very much for the credit & opportunity to work with you its been a pleasure that I look forward to doing it again. :)
Looks wonderful TD3d
Looks very cool indeed! A question: I render with 3DL, will it convert easily or did you use IRay custom shaders for this product? I assume it is IRay only?
Hi, yes it’s set up for Iray. But there is bump maps included. It should convert pretty easily.
Hi Sven, This is a fun drum set you won't be disappointed
It is optimized for iray, but it will render in 3Delight right of the box , each piece is made separately & has its own bump and Specular maps , and can change all the mats at once with one click by selecting the main frame first. there no lie or anything
The Chrome and Gold mats for the frame would need to be changed to a 3dl procedural mat or tinker with the glossey settings, because those render dull in 3dl but other than that not much to fussy with.
I posted some screen shots a render of the white set with the decals, with 5 AOA light set up and I posted the surface tab settings for you to evaluate I hope that helps
Thanks for that catch @Ivy That's correct. All the surfaces are painted in 3dCoat on 4k tiles. There's no real Iray exclusive/dependent surfaces as such. I just double checked the final package contents and Included in the Textures files are all the needed .png Decals (for cymbals/module -n both black and white) should you want to use your own surfaces mats @4k.
Great, tks!
You're welcome @Sven Dullah
Something I did fun with your drum set Trevor.

Cool! I wonder how hard this would be to animate. Well, if anyone could do it, Ivy can!
BTW What keyboard is that?
Hi @rav4
I have talked about making a animated scene with this drum set i just have not found the right scene yet i want to tackle to do it..lol
The keyboard was a gift from a artist named Rick Bridenbaker, 8 years ago.. But you can find it at sharecg.com
I hope that helps
