Moving expression sliders from Genesis parent node to Head node (and vice versa)

elusivealbumselusivealbums Posts: 0

I've spent some time making custom facial expressions and saving them. I'd like to bundle some together and release them as freebies over at ShareCG, but I haven't been very consistent about how and where I've been saving them.

In particular, some of the facial expressions sliders appear in the parameters tab (in Pose Controls / Head / Expressions) when I have the root Genesis figure selected. Others only appear if I click on the Head, which is a child of the parent Genesis figure.

Is there a way I can move the sliders between these two elements so that all of them appear in Pose Controls / Head / Expressions when the head is selected? I tried appending "head_" in front of the .dsf file, but that didn't seem to do anything, unsurprisingly.

Thanks!

Yes, but I find it easier to just resave them, under a different name, then remove the original.

You can edit them...but I'm in the middle of a render, right now and can't get access to DS to tell you how.

Resave the ERC freeze you mean?

Depends on your version of DS ...
    DS4.6.0.8
Window / Panes (Tabs) / Property Editor Tab
Select your morph, right click, Grouping, Actor/Head

    DS4.6.1.39
The property editor moved somewhere - I think the parameters tab and edit mode something ..
Let's hope for somebody with more information

That's why I've found resaving it as a new morph, under a different name is easier...I can never remember the exact way of editing them

    Edit Caution,
if you have some trouble, when play around save morph or save modified assets,
after move properties,,or try to make Alias, then lost some ERC or overwrite morph, etc,,
    I can not help you ^^;

About poze controller (which can not include geometry data, )
you can use Property mover in parameter tab ,in edit mode.

then, you need to change mode "edit" in parameter tab,
and select property, r-click, and choose property mover menu.
to change Node each controller assgined.

it magically moved to the node which you select as target.

so that when you slect head or hand, the poze controller only can be shown.

I move poze controlelr/arms/Arms front buck (CTRLArmsFrntBck)
which was assgined gensis root, to genesis head node.

    now I select head, the arms poze controller can be shown, in same category^^;
if I select genesis root, the controller has gone away.

to keep the modify I need to save as morph again or save morph assets.

on the other hand, All PBM,MCM, or FBM, PHM those include geometry delta deta,
are should be assigned genesis root, I believe. if you try it, it can not work.
for those morphs, you can make Alias files . it contain only link for the morphs.

about genesis2 you may find many Alias expression controller assigned for head ,
then they are named as PHM.

but these are simply linked Alias for moprhs which assgined genesis root
usually have same name, same labelled.

if you hope you can make Alias which assgined for head node,
use porperty cloner, then linked poze controlelr which assigned genesis2 root.

after you make new Alias (somelike clone file), you need to save them as morph too.
