Trouble with collada

I've been trying to export rigged collada figures to Blender so that I may use cycles for rendering as well as put together some shots for an animation I'm developing in my spare time. Everything goes well with exporting and Importing. The rig still works and any animation I create comes over smoothly. The issue is when I set up my SSS shader and render, even a test render. The figure is completely black, no matter how much light is in the scene, how I tweak the shader the figure is just black. This only happens with the collada. I've render it alone, next to an OBJ export with the same shader (Which renders fine on the OBJ and not at all on the collada).

checked for double verts, which really shouldn't effect the shader output, changed tri's to quads, flipped the normals; No dice. Obviously this had put a huge damper on an already ambitious project from the start.

Daz is an essential part of my pipeline for this. I can get by with just using regular diffuse shaders for figures of non-importance but my main characters I'd like to look as good as possible.

Please help a brother out.

My only concern is on animation. To be honest, I've no idea on SSS shaders.
But I think that mcjTeleblender2 script made by mCasual will help you. If you don't have it, google it. It's very well known and a necessary script for DAZ and Blender combination work.

In my case, I prefer Blender internal renderer to cycles. Anyway, mcjTeleblender2 supports both. I use this script for copy material.

I wish this information be helpful.
