Torby's lizard boy
Years ago, thinking of a story for http://www.improbable.me I made this alien kid, but not being able to get him right, I put it to the back burner.
You see, he's just a K4 with poorly hand painted skin. I usd a deformer to draw out his face, to very poor effect. I wanted to put a bump map too, but never figured out how to do it with my lack of knowhow. Then I got a little frustrated with DS 4, and busy with other things, and, well, you know. I had in mind his little spikes would be flexible, and move with emotion, as well as his "eyebrows" and tail. I could probably scale down his legs and feet to make him more lizardy.
Anyhow, this story keeps pestering me, so I decided to play with him some more. Strangely, when I open his .daz file in the current version of DS4, he gains his, um, shall we say, "mammalian details," and I can't dial them out.
Suggestions? Techniques I might try? Perhaps somebody had a figure I might con, steal or even buy? My budget isn't as limited as it once was.
I don't want him frightful, but a "nice little kid" from a reptilian planet. I also designed his mom and dad, but they too have similar problems. I can hear his mom prompting, "Mind you tail, dear."
Both my loyal readers have been asking, "When are you going to make a new improbable story?"
P.S. I need to get rid of his ears too.

It might just be easier to start over and build him on Genesis...
Maybe this for K4 with the ears dialed back: http://www.daz3d.com/grebloids
And this for your M4/V4 Adults: http://www.daz3d.com/lizardians
Or maybe even scale the M4/V4 version down to make a youngling out of them.
Sounds like an interesting project. Good Luck with it!

Something like this?
Took me about half an hour to sculpt him, from Genesis...
Added a close-up render, too.
