anyone know how to do this (transfering Gen4 morphs to a data version of model)

Ok, what I'm wonder is
What I plan to do, is make my V4 & M4 model into the same model type as Genesis 1 & Genesis 2 (do it in the Daz program)
What I'm wonder is...is there a way to save morphs (I know how to save morphs) like...transfer the Poser format morph to work with the Daz data version
I'm assuming not (figure I may ask) since of the file difference
Just trying to figure out how to make use of the V4/M4 morph if I make the models into the data format

Morphs already loaded will transfer automatically when you convert, if that's what you are doing, but after that you won't be able to load new V4 morphs. It might work, though I haven't tested, to load a new morph onto an unconverted V4, convert that, set the morph, export as OBJ and then import that - or better yet, save the converted figure under a new name and then copy the morph files in the Data folder editing them to change their parent figure (which would preserve any ERC links).
I take it you mean having them in DS native formats rather than Poser formats, the attached pic shows V4 in front and three of the characters I regularly use in the back, all four are loaded into the scene from DUF files.
First thing to get out of the way is that this is not a TriAx conversion, that is a nightmare of a job that even this nutcase (points at self) wont take on.
The V4 in the front was loaded from her Poser CR2, I applied the DS sample MAT preset (don't like the Vulcan look), I then injected all of her morphs I had channels for, that's A4, G4, ++ etc. Once that was done I then saved her as a scene subset, I then cleared the scene and loaded the DUF file to check she loads, ever since then it's that DUF file I load when I'm using V4.
The other three characters were created after loading my V4 DUF file, on the left we have Jenni, she was originally one of my own dial spun characters but long a go I lost the preset, thankfully I had a copy of her in Hex so she is now a stand alone morph. I used morphloader to get her into my DSON V4, changed the pathways so she didn't appear under morphs/morphloader in the parameters tab, and then saved her as a scene subset, all that DS created for her was the DUF file, the morph was written directly into the DUF file rather than a DSF asset being created.
In the middle we have Dietrying's Sandra, the full INJection version, she too was loaded into my DSON V4 and saved as a scene subset, but as she uses the PBMCC channels she got a pile of DSF asset files as well as the DUF, all of the DSF files were named PBMCC_27_Sandra_<bodypart>.DSF by DS, so you don't have to worry about them being overwritten if you have characters that use the same channels.
Lastly we have Lara, she is a MOR pose file, in other words her PZ2 just had dial settings for the V4++ morphs, applying it to my DSON V4 caused a slight delay as DS loaded in those morphs and then dialed them, after that I saved her as a subset as well, as those morphs were already DSF files it meant DS just had a DUF file with the dial settings to create for Lara.
I have tried it many times
Daz studio freezes at 17% and uses 9GB of RAM I only have 8!!!! windows puts up a message to close Daz studio or it will stop functioning
that is loading v4 or m4 as a clothing or making them triax or using an obj version to create figure using transfer tool and their genesis clones to inject all genesis morphs with plan to transfer the results back via obj export and morph loader.
I have done it on other obj figures though but it cracks up if I use Daz figures.
I've had this same problem.
Yeah, was talking about morphs that used the Morph++ stuff.
So, the DSON V4 took the PZ2 file? I had this impression that that wouldn't work
As long as DS still thinks it's a Poser figure then the PBMCC & PBMDC channels will still work, when you save as a scene subset any channel with morph deltas in them will be saved out as asset files, but any empty channels just get a reference to their existence in the DUF file, that way you can still INJect into them as you don't have an asset file to block it.
Convert a Poser figure to TriAx and the empty channels become "full" as they get asset files created for them, which block you from being able to INJect into them, this is why you can't INJect into Genesis.
