How do I fit high heels to feet?

I bought these http://www.daz3d.com/pumps2 and I can't fit them on to genesis 2 at all. The just get stuck on heel of the foot when I try to fit and when I try to bend the foot to bring the toes down the whole shoe moves with it.

Nevermind I miss read the post. Some Shoes just do not AutoFit properly. It is a known issue. There is a thread in Commons that covers fitting shoes if you can find it on PAGE whatever it has been pushed down to.

The tutorial should work.
As sickleyield said in there, without smooth modifer cause another problem.

Fortunately, most of genesis shoes may not break with smooth modifier.
(though lost some rigid detail I think)
so that it is more easy to modify them than V4 or A3 shoes.

I can add one easy tips,,
when you adjust pozing genesis to fit foots in shoes,
you need not tweak right and left foot .

you can concentrate one side genesis node. eg only tweak r-thin r-foot etc.
then use symmetly.
After that save the best foot pozing for the each shoes.
I often add the new directory in the genesis product for gen2female.

I know It is sickleyield tutorial, but if you feel difficulity, ask again.
at least most of genesis high heels can fit well by the tutoriall way.

okay I will try this when I got some more time. Not sure what this "autofit" is or where the option is located. All I see is being able to click on shoe and select fit................. to

Autofit appears automatically when you try to 'Fit To' any item to Genesis or Genesis 2 which was made for another figure, lioke V4 or M4 or even third generation figures.

You need to have the clone for autofit available to do this for older figures, but clothing for V4, M4 and K4 should invoke the autofit option when fitting to Genesis, as they come along with the main DS install.

The tutoriall is about the shoes which can not Auto-fit well.
so that if you can not use Auto-fit,, there is no meaning ^^;

But, If you install genesis2female starter essential, it have genesis clone shape already. I believe.
I think genesis2 can use auto-fit about item mede for genesis, without other product.

then I have not bought these clone items. but I can use Auto-fit without problem @@;

Usually when you try to fit "Gensis item=pumps L or pumps R" to gnesis2female,(or male)
Auto-fit dialogue appear.

(select genesis2female, then load the item. it usually "fit to" the figure. then about your case,
Auto-fit dialogue may open.

or select the item then go to parameter, tab >Misc>Fit to.
then Auto-fit dialobue may open.

After that, you select option and shape for each item.

Can you tell steps how you wear the shoes for genesis2female?
if you show some pic , At least it may help me to find where is problem or not.

Anyway I show pic,, now load gen2female, then load genesis shoes.
I select genesis shoes, then in parameter > misc "fit to" change genesis2.
where you find problem?

I am thinking several pattern,, If you use auto-fit already,
the item can never try to Auto-fit again.

you need to load new item from smart content or content library to auto-fit work.

Or,,,scene ID problem.
after load the shoes, select the shoes, then
Shift + I, ( Sorry, if it seems my hand made short cut ^^;)
or topmenu> edit >figure>scene identifycation.

it may open ID scene ID window.

usually preferred base = none ,about genesis item.

then if it is genesis2female, it must be wrong, and auto-fit can not work.

This thing is weird. If I have my edited genesis 2 female loaded and selected I can't even find the shoes. I have to deselect the character for them to even appear. i can still see other wardrobe though. Some how i was able to find a feet pose that came with the pack and got it to work. For that pose alone it seems to be a trick to get it to appear. At times this program just seems more complicated than it should be. i was never able to find auto fit.

well, I thought i had it. but as soon as I move the leg the shoe doesn't move with it. Fit to just messes the shoe up and only attaches to heel. I don't know what this "clone" thing mentioned is. The Daz Studio screenshot also looks a bit different than my daz studio 4.6. I don't know....... Found outfit. This is what it does

i guess I can only use it on basic female not genesis 2. Got it to work on basic female. I figured if its compatible with

Than it'd work with genesis 2 as well. oh well.
Guess I gotta find heels for genesis 2. Can anyone recommend something? Sorry about my confusion and stupidity. I just have little time to try to figure all this out and it can get a little stressful so I'm not thinking straight.

you may need to learn many things at once, then you seems start from a little bit difficult point.

1. I seldom suggest new user to try-Auto-fit.
that means, usually you better get items which made for the figure.

About your case, the item is not made for genesis2. it is made for genesis1.
that means,, the genesis items have not true compatibililty.
If I was asked from you, I must suggest you get genesis2items. without special reason.

2. but,, as same as you, we often hope to wear the genesis item (which I have already bought)
for genesis2female or other figure. then daz offer Auto-fit system.
And we can use them, (at least we can try and see how it work for the items)

usually it work well. but not perfect . and usually, high heel items often can not work well,
when you apply Auto-fit. (So I think, you start from hard point^^;)

3. the Supported Morphs of the item means, those shape are one of genesis shape.
If you apply morphs for genesis, the item shape auto-follow these shape.
then as you know, there is no genesis2female.

it is because, genesis2female is not shape morph for genesis. different figure.

4 But Anyway, now you have genesis1 shoes, and you hope to wear the item for genesis2female
So that,, you need to learn how to use Auto fit, then modify the shoes shape as better as you can
for genesis2female.

5 then Jaderail told you the good sickleyield tutroriall , and I recommend it.

you seems try and go ahead but if you miss one step , It make me difficult to find problem where you mistake .

then,, I care,, you say, when you use edited genesis2, and it can not work about auto-fit,,
If you simply apply morphs and change genesis2shape, then use-auto-fit it may work,
but not recommend to understand clear.

so that, I suggest you start from zero shape genesis2female and the genesis item OK?

Yeah,, I believe the pumps must work, then I recommend to get the item for genesis2female from start.
she may feel happy too ^^; I do not like to use brother or friend wear,
it seems same,,

and you can refund item I believe. (because you want to get wear for genesis2female
but you did not clear understand the difference. you better get genesi2 shoes for genesis2female. )

I was hesitate to say it, but If I were you, anyway Istart from item which have true compatibility.

there are many things to learn, so that spend many times how to modify shape which not fitted figure seems not good for new user.
or simply use with genesis. and see how it work, after that, I may try auto-fit and use it with genesis2female.

but if you try to auto-fit, it is not so difficult once you understand
when and how work. and you can try it. and I or other user must help you.

the sicklyield tutoriall are for guys, who have used auto-fit already, and well known
when it can work, or not work well,,

sorry I did not clear reply about it.

it means the items are not made for genesis2female. I believe you use smart content pane for serch items.
smart content serch items which can use for the item(figure, prop, surface etc) .
and show only items which can usable for what you selected.

when you deselect gensis2female, most of them is not made for genesis2female.

then we often use content library.

It is important, because, to work smart content, the product need meta-data.

you must better to check daz guide book, about these things.
