How to Correct Mesh Showing on Shenandoah Clothing Model? Solved!

Hi! I've tried searching for an answer to this but haven't been successful. I really love the Shenandoah clothing models, but I am having trouble with the confederate pants - the mesh shows through the model texture.

I think I recall that when that happened with an environment model, using sub-d sometimes fixed it - so I tried that, but it was no use. Is anyone else having this problem with this model? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix it? Thanks! -Cathy

Open the bump/displacement map in an image editor (Photoshop, GIMP, etc)...see if there happens to be a grid pattern on it...

Thanks mjc1016! I opened all the texture maps for these pants in PSP, and actually ALL of the texture maps for these pants have the mesh pattern right in the texture. -Cathy

Please make a bug report (open a ZenDesk ticket and select Technical Support as the department).

In the mean time, you can use a procedural shader or something from the Fabricator line...some of the Freebie Fabricator presets, over on ShareCG may even be handy...

Hearherlee has a couple that may work...

    So does Wilmap

Thanks Richard, I've submitted a bug report -

I know I could use shaders on this, but I like the look of the uniforms as they are, and I think changing the pants would then mean I'd need to change the rest of the uniform, it almost has a "painted" appearance that wouldn't blend well with realistic fabric, if I even knew what sort of fabric that would be... and then if the confederate uniform looked "realistic", the US side would also need to be changed. (I want to use this in Family History stories to portray ancestors on both sides of that war.)

I guess I'm being picky and with some work I could probably repair it myself, if I need to. Thanks for your help and advice :) -Cathy

You shouldn't have to repair it yourself.
This should never have passed QA, its the second thing I've got recently that has a glaring error to it.

To replace the old textures follow this path and replace the textures in the folder "Shenandoah" with the new ones.
