- Saw it in freebies.
- Thought, "those might be useful."
- Wanted it.
- Pitching fit 'cause I can't find it.
Didn't I see a thread in freebies with lots of airplane models?
I found this one as an .obj and jpgs at sharecg, but I seem to be having surface trouble with it.

Lots of excellent airplane models here:

Many (but not quite all) are free.
Hmm. Some pretty nice ones.
I found the right texture files.
Out of time for playing with it tonight.

The textures need to be applied to the object..
Here it is done in Carrara
@Torby:
you're absolutely right.
I deleted the maps, renamed the other ones, changed ambient to black, still not good.
He uploaded the same model in Blender, tried that one, all pink.
My advice: don't bother, throw it away and look for something else..
OOPS the pilots gone and the engine has stopped!!! Hehe.
OK in Daz Studio if you replace all the grey/green maps with their colour equivalent in the diffuse and turn down all the ambient's to 0.
I'll add it to the big list of Free Aircraft Models.
That set of blades at the front of the aircraft is there to keep the pilot cooled off. (Don't believe me? Turn it off mid-flight, and watch the pilot sweat!) No pilot, no need for the prop to spin... :-) :-) :-)
Stezza, I think that's the thread I was looking for.
Turning the ambient to zero seems to have done the trick.

In case anybody is interested here's a link to a short tutorial on how to start the engine (i.e. spin the prop).
