I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to jet my render settings back to normal? it renders the .png without the background or much of anything everything in the foreground is there but no background there is a jpeg attached for an example any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried default settings didn't work and referred to all the documentation I could find but no luck thanks and have a good day.

Can you post a screenshot of what it looks like before rendering?

And one of your render settings?

If you open that png in a software that reads png "layers" you will see the background is there.
Why don't you save as bmp?

    To be more precise:
    - if you use Backdrop in the edit menu and save to .png there will be no background in your finished render.
    - if you create a New Primitive -> plane in the Create menu (rotate 90 degrees etc.) and put a texture on the plane and then save to .png that background will be in the finished render.
