DS 4.6 G2F does not exist.

Hi! I have installed all DS 4.6 and all the content with the installation manager. When I run the program and try to load the G2 female, I get this message:

Could not open file: C:/[mycontentfolder]/People/Genesis/Genesis.dsf
File does not exist.

I use poser, but wanted to try DS and it isn't going very well!

Thanks in advance!

Are you trying to load Genesis 2 Female, or the original Genesis? Did you install "Genesis Starter Essentials" and/or "Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials"?

I'm trying to load the Genesis 2 Female and I do have the starter essentials installed.

Is this a startup scene that tries to load automatically, or did you click on the icon for Genesis 2 Base Female?

When DS starts up I get this message: "Some assets to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected. The following files could not be found: data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/GenesisFemale2.dsf"

When I try to load the Genesis2Female, I get the "File does not exist" message from my first post. Thank you for helping!

Did you install using DAZ Install Manager or manually? Is this the first time you've installed any version of DS4 on this computer?

I used the DAZ Install Manager. I had a previous version of DS4 but it was uninstalled. I only have DS4.6 on now.

Okay, there are probably still old settings from the earlier install. First, go to Edit > Preferences > Startup and uncheck the "Load File" box. Then, go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager and expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats" sections. If you used the defaults it probably just has "C:\Users\[username]\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library" listed. DAZ Install Manager uses the newer default of "C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My DAZ 3D Library". Add this path (or the path you used if you didn't use the default path) under both "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats".

Thanks! I still get the initial error message, but G2F does load when I click on the icon. Unfortunately the DSON does not let me load the figure in Poser 2012. It says the figure is there (G2F) but it isn't visible.

I got it to work in Poser now too! I had to add the Daz Studio library runtime. Thanks so much for your help!
