How to create your own set of eyes?

I would like to create my own set of eyes...but I don't have a clue where to start.

Can you please point me to very detailed tutorials.

What I want to do is to be able to change both the reflection and the "real" eye and then be able to use it for my daz-figures.

Genesis 2 (Female and male) have separate eye surfaces that can be used to adjust reflection, or pseudo reflection, settings independently of the iris and cornea. Modelling, mapping, rigging and texturing a whole new eye model would not be a newbie level task.
