This gorgeous set features a choice of either bandeau or coconut tops and a skirt made with dForce Hair for great dynamics and versatility. But what is a Hula Outfit without some appropriate poses to go with it? So the set includes 20 full poses plus mirrors, 24 lower body and 48 upper body poses, hand gestures, head poses, kneeling poses, making 1000s of possible combinations! And there are 8 different color sets included as well.

Of course the outfit can be used in a non-traditional way as well!

Looks very nice, can the length of the skirt be shortened?

Yes there are presets for 5 different lengths from almost floor length to very short. There are lots of variations - you can change the width of the strands, the density of the strands, there are two dynamics settings for stiffer or looser, etc. The Lei Necklace also has a range of options - longer/shorter, wider/thinner, swing left/right/out.

I should give credit where credit is due - the poses were all done by Areyna who some may know from her Daz gallery:

And a wonderful job she did too, I know she went to great lengths to make the moves as authentic as possible, the poses are worthy of a product in their own right, however we decided that there was such a good fit between our two products (what is the one without the other?!) that we decided to package them together as a single product. She does wonderful promo images too which I am sure she will share on here.

Thanks, Phil, you make me blush. I had a great time working with you. It's amazing how fluid and beautiful, and yet powerful and expressive hula dancing is. After researching and working on the poses, I've actually incorporated hula dancing into my aerobic workout program. Hula dancing is really fun.

Thank you, Phil. I'm grateful I had a chance join you on this project.

Wonderful, and the poses are also a good selling point, which catched my attention on the set, even more.

Will the Lei and the wristbands & anklets work without dForce?

Thanks for your interest in the Hula set - the grass skirt relies on dForce Hair but the rest are normal conforming items and they do not require dForce. So yes the items that you specified will all work without dForce. Although if you do get it, give the skirt a try as well!

Hi there.  I bought this product and I love it, but... I'm having a bit of trouble with the skirt.  The lady's thighs poke through it when I pose her, and I can't seem to figure out how to adjust it.  Can you help?

Have you tried simulating from memorized pose?

Yes that's what you need to do.

Okay.  Err... I'm sorry, how do I do that?  There are some progam features I'm still kinda new at using.

Open the Simulation Settings tab - if you can't see it anywhere, go to the menu Windows/Panes/Simulation Settings.  The default settings should be fine but check that Frames to Simulate says Current Frame and Start Bones from Memorized Pose is set to On. Then click the blue Simulate button at the top of the panel and you should see the figure move from the default pose to your chosen pose while the skirt simulates to drape on that movement. Once done, you are good to render.

That did it.  Thank you so much!

You're welcome - anything marked as dForce will have dynamic elements that you can use the Simulation Settings pane with to achieve some great draping and dyanmic effects.
