Carrara Stuck In Toolbar

I have a brand new computer with windows 8.1 64 bit installed. It has an i7 4th gen processor and 32 GB of memory. I installed my Quadro K 5000, updated the driver and now Carrara and Daz Studio 4.6 will only load to the tool bar and will not display on the desktop. Hexagon and Bryce are fine as well as Poser and Blender. Does anyone know anything about this yet?

    Try the previous driver version?

Went back as far as I could. Still doesn't work. I have no idea what to do but it seems like it would be a simple problem.

Like you say, it is probably something easily overlooked. Hmmmm... have you tried going into the install folder and setting the exe settings to have administrator rights? Not sure that should be necessary.

Another possibility is that you may have accidentally installed a render node instead of Carrara(?)
Don't be mad... just trying to touch some bases here.

The other idea - since it seems that it happened to both Carrara and DS, perhaps it's a DAZ CMS issue. You could try this:
    Go to Program Files (86) > DAZ 3D > DAZ3DIM1 > cms
    and run that installer.

Restart your new machine and give it another go.

Also, don't forget that Carrara 8.5 Native content does not include the wizard and browser files. For that, you must instal Carrara 8 Native Content.

Lastly, have a look at the Carrara 8.5 Installation Guide - by DAZ 3D just to make sure.
The actual steps to installation begin about halfway down, but I prefer to just read the whole thing.

In my above post, perhaps "Lastly" at the end, should be "Firstly" and begin there?

Thanks Dartanbeck but the main thing is that before I swapped the cheap card for the good card, both programs were working so there is just some kind of comparability issue with the Quadro. It.does bother me that it only affects Studio & Carrara since I use Carrara every day. Everything is installed correctly but does anyone (such as a programmer) have any idea why this issue even occurs?
