genesis startup issue

edited December 1969 in The Commons

I due to a virus had no choice but to bring my pc back in time.

so I re-installed daz 4.6 but the start up path for genesis is incorrect.

I selected the path to the dyson file for genesis but this was incorrect.

All of my files are still intact: lib/docs/Daz 3d/studio/my lib/people/genesis

What is the correct path?

i think the new version did not instal correctly.

lib/docs/Daz 3d/studio/my lib/people/genesis is the path chosen, but warning cannot find Base/genesis.duf

    Though i do have the folder lib/doc/Daz 3d/studio/my lib/data/Daz 3d/Genesis base.

    But no Genesis.duf file.

I have two seperate lib locations the one i used to use is here

    lib/doc/daz 3d/

within this struct there is studio, studio 3, studio 4.

I found quite by accident another file lib/doc/My 3d lib

This file has all of the .duf and .dsf files

When tried to point to this location i got the warning again could not find Genesis base.dsf.

I have Daz studio 3 and can load all my normal content but i need Genesis.

The problem is that Genesis.DSF was changed to Genesis.DUF several versions ago.

You need to go to Edit > Preferences, and change the name of the startup file from Genesis.DSF to DUF.

You should still be able to load Genesis yourself from the Content Library, it is only the scene that loads at startup that is causing a problem.

Finally i found genesis male (2) by adding the found quite by accident file lib/doc/My 3d lib to my content directory manager.

    I can load this version

After a few min the system caught up with the changes and I now can choose either Gen (1) or (2).

I seem to remember you could search for all content but i forget how to do this.

Thank you for your kind help
