Why is Carrara unable to access this directory...

So, I'm new to Carrara, and viewing many tutorials to learn my way around.

One question I have is this: Why is the "Textures" directory in my Runtime folder grayed out and inaccessible when I try to browse for a texture map from the shader room?

I have downloaded some freebies from cgTextures and decided that putting them in a folder called "cgTextures" in the Textures folder of my Runtime might be a convenient place to put them. However, when I try to browse to this location from within Carrara, that "Textures" folder is grayed out.

I am on OSX 10.8.5. The complete folder path is /Users/Shared/My DAZ 3D Library/Runtime/textures.

I checked the folder permissions; it has the same creator/permissions as all of its sibling folders, which I can open and browse. Not a big thing, just would like to know why.

Thx

    carrara shaders only appear there
you can add them in the content folder under poses if they have a pz2 pose otherwise as a texture map in a shader channel in the shader room
    diffuse, bump, etc
click on your default shader to create one to edit and save by dragging and dropping
not on my PC but am certain Dartanbeck or EvilProducer will pop in and tell you more with screenshots.

Not sure why it would be grayed out. I wouldn't stick textures in there if you're creating your own. I would make a folder specifically for your own textures and see if you have issues browsing for them in that folder.
